Our 2025 Vision
Ethics is a journey, one that continuously evolves and thereby requires continuous attention and efforts. We’ve started by breaking down what Ethical means to us. We are holding ourselves accountable with a roadmap of actionable steps—and you can follow along.
Being the most Clean that we can be.
Being the most Sustainable that we can be.
Being the most Welfare Conscious that we can be.
We’re Making Luxury Fragrance Transparent
Did you know that fragrance formulations are considered “Trade Secrets”? This means that brands are not legally required to list out every single ingredient they use. The only ingredients that must be disclosed and listed are the potential allergens—a list of only 30 ingredients in the US. All other ingredients (that are not considered potential allergens) are lumped into one “Trade Secret” ingredient listed as “Fragrance/Parfum.”
Up next: Set the tone for transparency within the fragrance industry by providing our full list of ingredients.
We’re defining our Clean
To us, Clean means formulating with ingredients that haven’t been “Blacklisted.” These are any ingredients that have been flagged by a regulatory organization as causing potential harm, so we’ve Blacklisted them from our formulations.
This is a continual process, as new ingredients and new expert reports on these ingredients are continually released.
So, while we never change the "olfactive" scent of our fragrances, we do continually make minor ingredient/formulation changes in removing any ingredients that we believe need to be Blacklisted to ensure our fragrances stay Clean.
You can see all of the Blacklisted ingredients we formulate without here.
Vegan and Cruelty-Free
Until this becomes the industry norm, we’re proud to be Vegan and Cruelty-Free.
Up next: Certify the Vegan and Cruelty-Free status of our formulations with Leaping Bunny.
We’re Giving Back to Mother Earth
It’s no secret that the fragrance industry partakes in some of the most intensive harvesting of Mother Earth’s resources. In addition to minimizing our carbon footprint in an effort to “net out” our productions, we want to take it a step further, to leave the planet healthier than we found it by donating at least 1% of our profits.
Up next: Pledging with 1% For The Planet.

We’re closing the recycle loop
The future of fragrance is circular. Our end goal is to close the loop, to make our products fully recyclable. We’ve already started with Recycled Pulp Trays and Recyclable Bottles.
Up next: Making our packaging fully recyclable.
We're Committed to Promoting Diversity
We pride ourselves on a diverse team. This inclusion is at the foundation of our collaborative and empowering culture and fuels our ability to innovate and disrupt the world of fragrance. We're proud to have a diverse team, but we know there's opportunity for us to improve representation, particularly among the artisans with which we collaborate.
Up next: Champion diversity within our artisan community.
Here is how our team self identifies as of May 2021.
We're Holding Our Supply Chain Accountable
We realize that bettering our company’s social standards is just one piece of the puzzle. We’re selecting supply chain partners that also share the same values to ensure that the social standard does not start and end with us.
Up next: Become a Certified B Corporation.
Profitability Means Giving Back
As a family-owned business, we strive for profitability not only to keep our doors open and our employees on payroll, but to give back to communities near and far. We’ve already gotten involved with Women’s Empowerment of Armenia.
Up next: Support a different non-profit every month as selected by our team members.
